Great story. I got to know both Justices well and observed their close relationship when I put together a judicial exchange with India in 1994. By spending two weeks together with them during that trip I could not miss the obvious mutual respect and friendship.
Back before America became so divided - When we could honestly disagree and still have fun, casual conversation. I love stories like this about well known people whom the media and politics have told us should be arch enemies but are really friends. If we walk away from our screens and spend a little more time with the people outside - I think we'll find it's still that way.

Great interview, Ed.

That was a lawyer? He seems to have been the opposite of clever.
